I've been an Austinite for 15 years, but I grew up in Dallas. I have a bachelor's degree in photojournalism from the University of Texas at Austin. During school, I worked as a copy editor, entertainment writer, and photographer at The Daily Texan. The day I graduated, I started an internship at the Austin Chronicle as a graphic designer, which eventually became my full-time position, sprinkled with a lot of music photography.
I taught for a few years at The Griffin School, and love hearing from old students about what new adventures they are on.
I play electric cello, guitar, bass, and piano.
My cat, Sir Squeakerton, is on a mission to become internet famous.
My biggest photography influences are Annie Leibovitz and Charles Peterson.
